2009 Take Pride In America® National Award Winners Announced
WASHINGTON - Acting Executive Director Lisa Young today announced the 2009 Take Pride in America National Award recipients in 10 different categories. These individuals, groups, and partnerships will be honored at an awards ceremony held July 17 at the U.S. Department of the Interior in Washington, D.C.
"It is an incredible privilege to honor this outstanding group of award winners. They each embody the mission of the Take Pride in America program, and are examples to us all of what it means to be a good stewards of our public lands," said Young. "This is one way we can say 'Thank you' for the work they have done."
