Tell Us About Your Volunteer Event
We would love to hear about your event. Please send us a description of your event and it may be highlighted on our website and in our newsletter. Please be sure to include details such as where your event was held, what type of event you hosted, and who participated. Be sure to include information such as the number of participants, how many trees planted or bags of garbage collected, and other anecdotes from the project. Photos are also welcome. You can e-mail the event write-up and photos to takepride@ios.doi.gov.
By registering your event as a Take Pride event, you are also eligible to request Take Pride materials such as banners, brochures, and other supplies based on availability.
Take Pride Volunteer Event Guidelines
- Publicize event as a Take Pride in America event
- Feature prominent use of the Take Pride in America logo or banner (obtained by permission from Take Pride in America)
- Follow all appropriate laws and regulations as necessary: obtaining permits and forms, meeting safety requirements, and securing volunteer agreements and parental approval
- Hold event on public lands or hold on private lands (with the owner’s consent) that have a great public benefit
- Reflect a positive message of cooperation among Federal, state and local governments, private enterprises, and civic organizations
